FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What degree programs do you offer?

General Questions

  • Why do I keep reading about Hebraic teaching and Hebraic perspective?

    • Studying Scripture in its Hebraic context not only brings fresh meaning and deeper understanding, but it also bridges the gap between the Old Testament (Tanakh), Yeshua and where we are today.

  • Can I attend full-time in a degree program?

    • No. All GBM degree programs are offered on a  part-time basis. By definition, part-time status is when a student is enrolled for less than 9 credit hours in the fall or spring semesters, or 3 credit hours in a summer term.

  • What if I want to take one course?

    • Students may apply as special students for the purposes of taking one course. Any credit earned as a special student will be credited toward the degree if the student applies and is later accepted into a degree program.

  • How long will it take to complete a basic degree program?

    • Part-time students may complete their degree in as few as one year (Associate degree); three (3) years  for Bachelors and four (4) years for Masters degrees.. A student’s program may be lengthened or shortened by a variety of factors, such as participation in internships or taking a reduced load or increased course load in any given semester.

Admissions Questions about Basic Degrees

  • Do I have to have a high school diploma to apply for admission to a degree program?

    • Yes, but GBM also takes into account life experience for admission into associates and diploma programs.

  • Does GBM test its students for admission? If deemed necessary, in addition to the standard admission application requirements, the student may be asked to take an admission test. This test will be assigned during the admissions process.

  • I do not belong to any church. Can I still be enrolled? No. GBM only accepts students who are affiliated with a church.

  • Do you require confirmation of my affiliation?

    • Yes, we require referral letters from your church and people who have known you for at least a year. Exceptions apply.

  • When are your admissions deadlines?

    • The deadline depends on when you intend to start. Check out the News and Events page on our website to see which deadline you need to meet.

  • How much is the application fee?

    • $25.00 for all degree programs.

  • How long before I know the decision of the Admissions Committee?

    • GBM has rolling admissions, which means we consider applications as they are completed. We do our best to get a decision back to you within a week of receiving all of your application materials. You can always call the Admissions Office/Registrar to get an update on the status of your application.
